BYU English MA

In Digital Humanities & Professional Writing

My BYU English MA in Digital Humanities and Professional Writing helped me build strong skills in writing, research, and digital communication. Through classes and client projects, I learned how to understand audience needs and create clear, purposeful content. I’ve worked on everything from curriculum materials to multimodal projects that blend writing, design, and digital tools.

This experience taught me how to plan projects, organize information, and communicate ideas in ways that fit different goals and contexts. It also showed me how writing, design, and technology can work together to create meaningful, user‑focused communication.

I also gained hands‑on experience with collaboration and project management. I worked closely with classmates to meet deadlines, produce print and digital materials, and use tools like InDesign, HTML/CSS, and shared editing platforms. These projects strengthened my digital fluency and prepared me to work in environments where teamwork and clear communication matter.

Altogether, these skills give me a strong foundation for roles in educational publishing, nonprofit communication, and other fields that value thoughtful, well‑designed content created with the user in mind.
