My name is Angélica Flores Algaba, and I am from Querétaro, Mexico, a city renowned for its beautiful colonial downtown. For nearly 30 years, I have dedicated my professional life to education, primarily as a teacher of English. My academic journey in this field is extensive, as I hold two master’s degrees in Teaching English as a Second Language and am currently pursuing a third master’s degree in MA in English with a track in Digital Humanities & Professional Writing at Brigham Young University.

Presently, I serve as an adjunct professor of Spanish at Brigham Young University where I also teach Writing 150 for international students. In previous terms, I have taught Writing 150. Beyond my professional life, I am a proud Mexican who loves tacos and spicy food, and I have been happily married for 42 years. My family is my greatest joy; I have two sons and six wonderful grandchildren.

My personal passions include reading, writing, and diligently working on my family tree to connect with my heritage. I also enjoy staying active through outdoor activities like hiking and biking. What excites me most about my current studies in Digital Humanities is the powerful ability to create and become part of the digital world while still being deeply rooted in the humanities. I am keenly involved in the concept of imagination. One of my favorite quotes is: “The world of reality has its limits; the world of imagination is boundless” (Jean-Jacques Rousseau).
